The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has announced their new leadership teams for the upcoming school year.
The change comes in early spring each year and changes are made to some elementary and secondary schools.
This year there are five principals retiring including: Ken Manderville of Eastside Secondary, Ian Press of Bayside Secondary, Anne Slager from Deseronto Public and Liane Woodley of Centennial Secondary.
Kim Sampson from Trenton High will be taking a personal leave of absence.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says working in education during today’s challenges and demand is complex and requires a high level of commitment from all the staff and he wished all the principals and vice-principals success in their careers in administrative leadership.
Board Chair Lucille Kyle said they welcome the new appointments and when they are successful, the schools and students will be as well.
