Drones continue to be the apparent method of transport for drugs and other contraband being smuggled into area prisons.
Officials at Joyceville Institution in Kingston say a number of packages of contraband were seized, following a suspected drone drop at the facility last week.
Officers found more than 201 grams of marijuana and just under 200 grams of tobacco, with the total institutional value of that contraband pegged around $41,000.
The OPP Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad has been notified and is investigating, along with Correctional Service of Canada personnel.
