While there are no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hastings Prince Edward today, the health unit has put out a bunch of new information and statistics on the virus in the area.
A new website launched by HPE Public Health today outlines the number of probable and confirmed cases, with breakdowns of geography, age and gender of those who have been infected.
According to the latest numbers there are 36 lab-confirmed cases in the two counties, with 19 of those in Belleville and pockets of positive cases in other parts of the region, with none confirmed in the Tyendinaga and Deseronto area.
When it comes to an age breakdown, 12 of the confirmed cases in the two counties were found in women over 60, which is about 34% of the total, with seven cases found in men over 60.
Nine women and two men between 40 and 59 were confirmed to have the virus, as well as three women and two men in the 20 to 39 age group.
The report also provides some information on how many patients have recovered from the illness and shows that 17 of 36 confirmed cases have recovered with 167 of 238 probable cases now healthy.
As far as testing goes, the report shows just over 1,400 people have been tested, with 1,156 negative results in and 209 results pending.
