It all started with an email from an NMA partner and a tweet from Canadian Chamber of Commerce Perrin Beatty –manufacturers are needed to manufacturer and produce PPE.
Over the course of 4 weeks, we have seen Northumberland Manufacturers step up in these extraordinary times and either re-tool or add to their lines; With the tremendous need of PPE in our local community and across the province, our manufacturers took this rare opportunity to show how flexible, integrated, and supportive we are of our overall County and the health of its people.
Check out some of the amazing work we’re doing!

While the operations of our manufacturers across the County are a mixed bag –some are closed, some are working in smaller crews and some are busier now more than ever, we are inspired by the people who continue to go to work every day and provide the essentials for our broader community.
We’d like to give a big shout out and thank you to our NMA partners who are driving some of our new initiatives: Durham College, Northumberland Community Futures Development Corp. and Northumberland Makers.
