There’s a little less planned construction in Prince Edward County so far this year than in the same period last year.
The County has issued 131 building permits to the end of March with a construction value of just over $17 million.
Last month alone, 62 permits were issued worth a little over $8 million. Most of that value was for 10 new houses.
For the first three months of 2019, 134 permits were issued and were valued at $19.6 million.
Unfortunately, all new construction, except for crucial infrastructure projects, has come to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
