On Wednesday April 8, 2020 just before 8:00 p.m., members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a request for assistance in removing a party from a residence.
Officers responded to an address on County Road 17 in North Marysburgh Ward.
A party had broken into a garage and attempted to enter the residence.
The individual also made threats toward the occupants before leaving on foot.
Officers located the party and made an arrest.
Douglas Cory, 29 years of age of Picton, was charged with break and enter, in addition to uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 17, 2020.
