On March 19, 2020 United Way Hastings Prince Edward together with Procter & Gamble, Volunteer & Information Quinte, Community Development Council, Belleville Community Trust, among others announced the launch of the COVID-19 Community Response.
As part of the partnership, Volunteer & Information Quinte has utilized their information database to develop a listing of available COVID-19 essential resources. In an effort to respond to the increasing needs in the community, VIQ is pleased to launch their COVID-19 resource portal available at www.viq.ca.
The portal contains links to programs in Hastings and Prince Edward counties together with important links to federal, provincial and municipalities information resources.
This database will provide current information regarding programs and services available to residents in Hastings and Prince Edward as agencies update VIQ.
This is a comprehensive list of programs and services offering program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizations are developing programs and adapting to needs of the community on a daily basis it is critical that our community members have access to current information stated Brenda Snider Executive Director VIQ.
VIQ and United Way HPE is asking all agencies to keep their information updated via a communication to ensure accuracy.
Volunteers interested in registering for positions can access forms through this portal and will be connected with positions as they become available

VIQ is the local data provider for 211. Individuals can call to 211 to speak with a certified Information Referral Specialist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for non emergency programs and services.
