A young man faces charges after leading a group that got together to socialize in a Belleville parking lot early last night (Sunday).
City police say they responded to the Millennium Parkway business to find about 25 people gathered closely together, smoking and socializing.
Officers tried to remind the group of social distancing regulations but were ignored.
Police charged a 21-year-old man, who identified himself as the gathering’s organizer, with failing to comply with an order made during a declared emergency.
The rest of the people were warned and ordered off the parking lot.
