A Picton-based renewable energy company and internet provider says it will waive all fees and expand its network during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tri-Canadian Energy’s solar-powered network was launched in 2019 and serves the areas of Milford, Glenora and north of Picton, but President and CEO Steve Van Dusen says the company will be expanding that, after complaints about slow or non-existent service being provided by their competitors.
Van Dusen says they HAve had contact from doctors and others, who desperately need the internet service and along with the expansion, the company will also be waiving monthly fees.
He says they are working with community partners to expand across The County, with immediate plans for Sophiasburgh, Ameliasburgh, Waupoos and the South Shore.
