The call for personal protective equipment (PPE) has been heard loud and clear in the Quinte region.
Quinte Health Care received a donation of 100 boxes of N95 masks from Lapalm Moving.
Owner Bernie Ouellette says he wanted to make sure the supplies got to those who need it the most when he made the donation of 2,000 masks.
TMHF Executive Director Wendy Warner says they have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses and community members.
Warner says it isn’t just PPE they’ve been receiving.
The infection control team at QHC is coordinating the inventory of all donated and purchased PPE to ensure that each QHC hospital site gets the equipment they need.
Health care workers are in need of everything from surgical masks to gowns, gloves and N95 masks.
