Ontario has hit a grim new milestone in its battle with COVID-19.
Health officials are reporting that the province saw its biggest single-day increase of cases, skyrocketing past 1,700, with 351 new cases and 10 new deaths.
Premier Doug Ford is now warning the province could soon face a shortage of critical medical supplies.
About 10 per cent of people in the province who have tested positive for COVID-19 so far have been hospitalized, provincial figures show.
