Belleville General Hospital’s doctors, nurses and countless other staff have been taking every possible step in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
News earlier this week highlighted QHC’s preparations for a surge in pneumonia patients admitted from across the region in the months ahead.
At the forefront of this battle, clinical teams will rely heavily on equipment and apparatus to navigate through uncertain times and ultimately save the lives of our friends, family and loved ones.
As a result, the Belleville General Hospital Foundation is now asking all members of the community to consider donating to the COVID 19 Area of Greatest Need Appeal.
Steven Cook, the Foundation’s Executive Director stated “This is an unprecedented situation and the support of our community is needed more than ever before to make sure Belleville General Hospital can quickly respond to all emerging needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Here is his interview with Quinte News.
The COVID-19 Area of Greatest Need Appeal will ultimately help ensure we have the capacity as a Foundation to further provide the Hospital’s medical teams with funds for essential lifesaving equipment, technology and replacement supports as and when needed.
This helps to ensure we provide the best possible care and safety for all patients, close to home, not just now but into the future.
The Foundation advises the best way to make a donation to the COVID-19 Area of Greatest Need Appeal is through their website www.bghf.ca. C
urrently, the Foundation is not accepting in-person donations at their office whilst staff work remotely, but those not able to donate online can call in their donation by phone: (613) 969-7400 ext. 2061.
