As Quinte Health Care deals with a forecast equipment shortage, when it comes to dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak, the Quinte Humane Society has stepped in to help.
Executive Director Frank Rockett says he ordered extra gowns, gloves and masks for his staff and has been able to donate some extra equipment to the hospital.
He says it might seem like a strange connection, but it just made sense to help out.
Quinte Health Care CEO Mary Clare Egberts has continued to thank the community for donations, just like this one, that will make a critical difference for healthcare workers dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rockett says in total, they were able to pass along 200 gowns and sets of gloves, as well as 100 N-95 masks, which are in high demand.
