Bancroft OPP have charged a Bancroft resident in relation to a suspicious death in Bancroft on the weekend.
Police say 42-year-old Timothy Gunter is facing assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation charges.
On Sunday around 9 p.m., officers were called to a Faraday Street home following a report of an assault.
Judson Gunter, 69, was found injured at the scene and was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit and the OPP helicopter conducted a search of the area and arrested the suspect shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
