The Children’s Foundation has welcomed another angel.
On Saturday evening, in front of 370 guests, Mark Phillips was given his wings by The Children’s Foundation.
The Guardian Angel Gala annually recognizes one great steward of the community, and this year it was the Phillips.
The gala also raised a record amount this past weekend, bringing in $175,000.
Board Chair for The Children’s Foundation Sam Brady joked that this year’s honouree is a real fire cracker.
Phillips is the owner of Canada’s largest fireworks manufacturer Mystical Distributing in Quinte West.
The Children’s Foundation serves the entire Bay of Quinte area, now including Northumberland and Prince Edward counties.
