The Belleville Senators are seeing some big names returning from Ottawa, and one of their best defencemen is getting locked up for the rest of the year.
Ottawa announced on Sunday that Drake Batherson and Josh Norris would return to Belleville. Batherson has 10 points in 23 games with Ottawa, while he adds another 46 in 37 games for Belleville. Norris went to Ottawa for just a single game, and has 58 points in 51 games in Belleville.
With Norris and Batherson’s return, two other players are heading to Brampton. Christopher Clapperton and Aron Luchuk packing up for The Beast.
Meantime, the Senators have locked up rear guard Hubert Labrie for the remainder of the year. Labrie got a one year two way contract. He is among the leagues best in (+/-) at +22.
