A great performance from Picton Pirates goaltender Kyle Renaud last night (Sunday) led the Pirates to a two games to none lead in their playoff series with the Amherstview Jets.
Renaud stopped all 54 shots he faced and Picton blanked the Jets 3 nothing. Picton fired 31 shots at the Amherstview net.
Nate Boomhower, Will Harrison, and Landon McLellan, into an empty net, scored for the Pirates.
Game 3 is Thursday night in Picton.
Meanwhile, the Napanee Raiders have taken a 2 games to none lead in their playoff against the Gananoque Islanders with a 2 to 2in last night.
Scoring for the Raiders were Devon King on the power play and Justynn Steven short-handed.
Napanee goaltender Bailey Maracle made 33 saves in the win.
Next game is tomorrow (Tuesday) night in Napanee.
