The Belleville Police Service responded to 45 calls for service between February 22, 2020 at 5 a.m. and February 23, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Break, enter and theft
On February 22, 2020 at 1:43 p.m., police attended at a home on Moira Street East in relation to a break and enter. The homeowner advised that some food and clothing had been taken. A short time later officers met up with an unwanted woman at another residence. This woman had the stolen items in her possession. A 26-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was charged with break, enter and theft and possession of stolen property. She will appear for a bail hearing on February 23.
Arrested on warrants
On February 22, 2020 at 2:30 p.m., police arrested a 39-year-old Belleville woman on Church Street on the strength of multiple warrants. She was held for a bail hearing on February 23, 2020.
On February 22, 2020 at 9:43 p.m. officers attended on Albion Street regarding a disturbance. A 40-year-old woman was arrested on the strength of multiple warrants. She was held for a bail hearing on February 23.
A 37-year-old Belleville man was arrested as well on Albion Street after it was learned that he had violated several conditions of his bail. He was released with a court date of March 23 on two counts of breaching his recognizance. His name cannot be released given the nature of his original charges.
On February 22, 2020 at 10:04 p.m. police attended at a home in the north end of the city regarding an unwanted person. A 24-year-old Belleville man was arrested and removed from the home to prevent a further breach of the peace. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
