A Quinte region dental hygienist is one of international personal care company L’Oreal Paris’s ten Canadian 2020 Women of Worth.
Bev Woods practices dental hygiene in Brighton and launched Gift from the Heart whereby people who can’t afford dental care receive basic dental work free of charge at special day-long events.
Gift from the Heart began in this area in 2009 but now the events are held across Canada and more than 2,500 dental hygienists have helped almost 13,000 Canadians receive dental care.

L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth highlights exceptional women who volunteer in their community and is an annual recognition and online voting event. The ten honourees will split $110,000 cash to put toward their charity and the winner of the online voting will receive another $10,000 on March 8, International Women’s Day, at a gala event in Toronto.
