The planeload of Canadians returning from a quarantined cruise ship in Japan landed at CFB Trenton around 2 o’clock this morning (Friday).
Only those Canadians without COVID 19 symptoms were allowed on the plane while 47 others remained in Japan for treatment of the virus.
The returning Canadians will be screened again at the base and will be heading to Cornwall to stay in quarantine for two2 weeks.
Meanwhile, the Canadians quarantined at Yukon Lodge at CFB Trenton since February 7 will be free to leave sometime today. None of the 413 Canadians quarantined at the base have shown any of the virus’s symptoms.
Those leaving quarantine will be transported to Pearson International Airport to find their way home from there.
