Belleville Police Service responded to 81 calls for service from February 18, 2020 at 5 a.m. to February 19, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Arrest on Warrants
On February 18, 2020 shortly after 6 a.m., police were called to a North Park St. address for an unwanted persons call. Upon arrival investigation revealed that the two unwanted persons, a 27-year-old female and a 22-year-old male, had warrants for their arrest that were held by Lennox and Addington OPP. The two parties were arrested and held at the Belleville Police Service where they were later turned over to OPP to be processed.
Mischief and Breach of Probation
On February 18, 2020 at 7 p.m., police attended a call to an east end apartment building with regards to a complaint of mischief. Investigation revealed that a 31-year-old tenant of the building kicked a hole in the hallway wall. Investigation has led to charges pending against the female for mischief and breach of probation. Investigation into the same incident further found that a 32-year-old male resident of Belleville was also breaching his probation by being present at the apartment building at the same time. Charges for breach of probation are also pending for him in relation that breach.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Police responded to eight motor vehicle collisions in the past 24 hours. None of the accidents were serious in nature nor did they involve personal injury. No charges have been laid in relation to any of the accidents.
