A two-time Stanley Cup champion is launching a major speaking tour, with an extended visit to the Bay of Quinte beginning Friday.
The Uncharted Tour is being led by Ducky Brand Apparel from Belleville, and its President Aidan Girduckis. The company donates partial proceeds to mental health awareness and services. Dan Carcillo is speaking with first responders, hockey teams, schools, and is also holding a public speaking event in Belleville.
Girduckis tells Quinte News both he and Carcillo wanted to work together to help battle mental health issues and stigmas.
On the Morning Buzz on Rock 107, Dan Carcillo says the abuse and mental struggles began in junior hockey.
He says he did things in hockey and in life he was not proud of. He says that concussions caused mental health issues in his life and he wants to help prevent others from going through that.
