It was a little busier as far as planned construction is concerned last month, than in January of last year, in the City of Belleville.
The city’s Building Department says 41 permits were issued for a total construction value of a little over $2.4 million last month.
In January of 2019, 37 building permits were issued with a value of close to $1.6 million.
Most of last month’s construction value came in the form of plans for six new houses in the city.
