Residential construction in part of our listening area is off to a sizzling start.
According to housing start data compiled by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, there were 144 housing starts in the Belleville Census Metropolitan Area last month.
That compared to just 15 starts in January of 2019.
Of the 144 starts, 29 were for single family homes while 115 were for apartments or condominiums.
The Belleville Census Metropolitan Area includes Belleville, Quinte West, Tyendinaga, and Stirling-Rawdon.
