Tyendinaga Mohawk protesters remained positioned near CN rail tracks at Wyman Road early this (Sunday) despite a court ruling in favour of CN and Via Rail.
According to a CBC report the Ontario Superior Court of Justice issued an injunction against any further action interfering with train traffic through Tyendinaga.
The report says CN Police delivered a copy of the court’s injunction yesterday afternoon.
A small group of Tyendinaga protesters have halted freight and passenger trains since Thursday afternoon as a show of support for a BC First Nation whose members are being arrested by RCMP in British Columbia in a dispute over the construction of a natural gas pipeline through their territory.
