It’s going to be an extra-long weekend for some students from Junior Kindergarten through grade 8 in our region this weekend.
After a province-wide walkout by elementary school teachers tomorrow (Thursday) teachers employed by the Hastings Prince Edward Schol Board will stage a one day walkout this Monday.
After that, all the public elementary school teachers in Ontario will strike on Tuesday.
And the following Friday, elementary teachers employed by the Kawartha Pine Ridge School Board will hold a one day walkout.
All four major teachers’ unions are taking part in some kind of job action as contract talks with the provincial government remain stalled.
