Local Catholic teachers will be continuing their job action with a one-day strike next week.
Members of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association will be off the job on Tuesday February 4, for a second province-wide walk out, as negotiations continue with the province on a new collective bargaining agreement.
That will include all local students within the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, so both elementary and high school students at those schools should be kept home for the day.
The union has not had a bargaining date with the province since Thursday January 9 and at this time, no other dates are booked.
