Saturday’s rainfall combine with the snow set a new record for total precipitation on the date of January 25 in our region’s history, according to Environment Canada.
A total of 32.8 mm or almost 1.3 inches of precipitation (both snow and rain) was recorded breaking the previous record of 32 mm set in 2010.
In total, 21 mm of rainfall was recorded while 5.8 cm of snow fell.
Sunday’s forecast is calling for more rain in the morning before turning into snow.
