It was a dark night, especially in the City of Belleville and some of the surrounding area.
A planned power outage by Hydro One to make emergency repairs to a transformer required the power to go out at 2 a.m. this (Saturday) morning to all Elexicon customers in Belleville and over 10,000 Hydro One customers in some areas surrounding Belleville.
The city went dark at exactly 2 this morning with the lights coming back on around 4:30, a half hour ahead of schedule.
No serious incidents occurred during the outage.
