Belleville’s new Police Chief will be sworn in on Monday, March 30th in a Belleville Courtroom. Cory Mcmullan, an Inspector with the Peterborough-Lakefield Police Service, was the successful candidate to replace Steve Tanner, who took the top cop’s job in Kingston late last year. The Police Service Board was told yesterday McMullan will be sworn in by Justice Steven Hunter at the provincial court on Victoria Avenue at four o’clock in the afternoon. She will take control of a police service with 76 uniformed officers and 30 civilians.
