As public high school teachers picket outside schools in some areas of the province today (Wednesday), the union representing Catholic elementary and secondary school teachers has announced that it will hold a one day walkout this coming Tuesday.
This means that all elementary and secondary schools in the Catholic system in our listening area will be closed Tuesday.
Four major teachers’ unions continue contract negotiations with the provincial government and all are taking job actions of one sort or another.
