Many more eyes and ears will be focused on Belleville council’s meeting than usual this Monday.
It’s decision day!
Council will decide on which of three proposals on developing the Memorial/Legion property in the downtown will be accepted.
Also in front of it will be a proposal for a boutique motel involving the Legion building only.
The other three involve retail and commercial space and apartments/condos, affordable units and priced at market units.
Because it’s a property matter, council will discuss the vote behind closed doors.
The public discussion and vote will occur right after delegations at the start of the open council meeting which begins at 4 o’clock.
