A flood outlook statement has been issued by Lower Trent Conservation ahead of this weekend’s weather system.
The Lower Trent Watershed region stretches from Grafton to Quinte West and from Lake Ontario to Rice Lake and it is expected the storm system could bring up to 45-60 mm of precipitation.
LTC says levels across the watershed region are generally in the normal range for this time of year but local waterways fed by rainwater on partially frozen ground can become extremely unpredictable and hazardous.
Nuisance flooding may occur.
This Flood Outlook Statement will be in effect until Monday.
