Belleville Senators winger Vitali Abramov has been named the American Hockey League Player of the Week.
The 21 year old Abramov scored 4 goals and 2 assists in three games including a hat trick and four points in Belleville’s 8-2 rout of Syracuse on Saturday.
Abramov has 14 goals and 27 points in 24 games this season. He also scored during a two game stint with the Ottawa Senators earlier this year.
Abramov is the first B-Sen to win “Player of the Week” honours this year and fifth in the team’s short history. Drake Batherson won it twice last year. Nick Paul and Ben Sexten are the others.
