The power is out in a large part of urban of Belleville this morning.
Shortly before 7 o’clock residents could hear an explosion-like sound and the sky lit up briefly and the power was lost in the College and Sidney streets area.
Belleville firefighters responded and Elexicon Energy crews have been dispatched.
Preliminary estimates say repairs should be made by 9:30 this morning.
In Brighton, a falling tree has knocked down power lines on Young Street and a tree fell along County Road 2 just west of Brighton blocking the roadway.
