Bail
On December 28, 2019 at 8:15 p.m., a 25-year-old man attended at the station to confess that he had been breaching his bail conditions by failing to reside with his surety in Quebec. Once the information was confirmed, the male was arrested and held for a bail hearing on December 29, 2019 on a charge of breach of a recognizance.
Traffic Enforcement
On December 28, 2019 around 6:55 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Old Hwy 2. The driver was charged with not having valid insurance and will appear in Traffic Court on February 3, 2020.
At 10:20 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Finch Drive as the vehicle had improper licence plates. The driver was charged accordingly.
At 10:45 p.m., police attended on Cannifton Road at College Street as a pedestrian had been struck by a car. The pedestrian had left the area prior to police arrival. The pedestrian was located on North Front Street and EMS attended to treat her for minor injuries. The investigation revealed that the pedestrian had attempted to cross the street against the red light. There were no charges.
Intoxicated male
On December 29, 2019 at 3:10 a.m., police attended at a parking lot on North Front Street as there was a concern that an intoxicated man was going to drive his vehicle. A 22-year-old Trenton man was arrested for public intoxication under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice.
