There was a slight decrease in the value of construction activity requiring building permits in Brighton this year.
The Municipality of Brighton reports that a total of 171 permits have been issued this year with a value of just over $35 million.
Last year 188 permits were issued valued at a total of close to $37 million.
As far as new residential units are concerned, in Brighton permits were issued for 81 this year compared to a total of 90 last year.
