Police in Cobourg have laid charges after a joint investigation with the local Children’s Aid Society.
Officers were called to a complaint of sexual assault, at a home in Cobourg on Sunday and an arrest was made today.
The charges include one count each of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference, with the suspect being released on conditions with a future court date.
Investigators say they won’t be releasing any information on the suspect in order to protect the identity of the victim.
