The member of Parliament for Bay of Quinte riding is confident that he’ll be having the pleasure of making some big infrastructure announcements fairly early in the new year.
Neil Ellis says he expects at least two announcements that will go a long way toward modernizing and upgrading important facilities in the community.
It is known that infrastructure funding announcements will be made by federal, provincial, and local governments for cultural and recreation facilities soon.
Some local applications have involved new buildings for the Belleville YMCA and the Quinte Humane Society.
Meanwhile, MP Ellis is looking forward to discussions toward the creation of a national pharmacare program. “It might even include coverage for some dental work. Adding that in was part of the NDP platform and we will see what we can do to get a program up and running. Drug and dental coverage would help so many of our citizens.”
And, Ellis is looking forward to more tax relief for the middle class in the new year as part of the Liberal’s ongoing focus on rebuilding a strong middle class.
