Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services officials begin 2020 still unsure of how proposed provincial government funding cuts may affect them.
Chief of Paramedic Services Doug Socha says they will “continue what they are doing every day, which is to respond to emergency calls.
He tells Quinte News that the community program where paramedics do home visit and clinics is a good step forward.
Socha says he’s hopeful there will be more funding around that kind of program in which paramedics become more proactive instead of reactive and the idea is to eventually expand the community program.
