Personnel at 8 Wing Trenton are doing their part to help the United Way of Hastings Prince Edward meet its 2019 fundraising campaign goal.
Wing Commander Colonel Ryan Demming and other senior officers presented United Way officials with a cheque for just under $96,000 this past Friday, helping push towards the campaign goal of $1.9 million.
All the money was raised through the base’s Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign which kicked off in September with the Wing Commander’s Golf Tournament.
Other fundraising activities included an escape room, haunted house, shooting competition and the annual Hercules Pull event.
Workplace Campaign Chair Major Kimberly Horan says she is “profoundly grateful for the level of support” shown by staff at Trenton in support of the cause.
