A fire that raged through an east-end Belleville house yesterday caused about 100-thousand dollars worth of damage.
No one was living in the Elmwood Drive house at the time, and other out-buildings were not touched. Firefighters battled the blaze for a full day. Both rail and road traffic were held up throughout the afternoon. No one was injured, and firefighters managed to save a dog and cat. Officials continue to investigate.
