Members of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte go to the polls on Saturday.
Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte will be electing a Chief and four councillors.
A total of 8,828 people are eligible to vote in this election.
They do not have to live on the Territory, but must be members of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
The present chief, R. Don Maracle, is being challenged by Balin Hill, Stacia Loft and Karoniakeshon Miracle.
R. Don Maracle has been chief for 26 years and a councillor for 12 years.
Six people are running for the four councillor seats.
They are Chase Brant, Josh Hill, Lynda Leween, Carl Maracle, Chris Maracle and Kelly Maracle.
Ballots will be cast at the Quinte Mohawk school on York Road, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m on Saturday.
There is an opportunity for mail-in ballots by contacting the Electoral Officer Vaughn Johnston of Sault Ste Marie.
