It seems like every month another tractor trailer brings traffic to a standstill on 2nd Dug Hill Road in Trenton.
Early Tuesday afternoon, a transport got stuck underneath the low bridge sending debris all across the roadway according to one caller to Quinte News.
Quinte West officials have taken steps in recent months to help discourage transport drivers from using the road, including more signage with flashing lights.
Quinte West OPP responded to nine different reports of transports hitting the CP Rail overpass, south of Telephone Road, in 2018 alone.
Five drivers were charged with a total of eight offences that include careless driving, disobeying signs and failing to report crashes.
Police say they take these incidents very seriously and will continue to fully investigate and review any similar incidents involving the CP Rail overpass on 2nd Dug Hill Road.
