Convenience store theft
On December 2, 2019 at 11:22 a.m., police responded to a reported theft from a convenience store in the east end of the city. The theft, although reported this date, was found to have actually occurred on November 29. Video footage showed a female suspect, approximately 40 years of age, stealing store merchandise. Police are working with the video to assist in identifying the suspect. The investigation is continuing. Theft of wood
On December 2, 2019 at 6:49 p.m., police responded to a call in the north end of the city regarding thefts of firewood from a home. A homeowner advised police that he observed tracks on his property entering and exiting a wood pile, resulting in a loss of about $100 worth of firewood. The complainant further advised this was not a first-time event. Police suspect it may be the work of one person knowing about the wood, and stealing it as opportunity permits.
