The City of Quinte West will again be supporting a Home Build for Health Care project.
City Council agreed on Monday to wave a series of fees charged to the developer Klemencic Homes, since net proceeds from the sale of the new house to be built on 2nd Dug Hill Road will be donated to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The fees include those for development charges, building permits and water usage.
Based on the 2020 fee schedule and the estimated size of the house, the cost of those fees would be about $8,300, plus a $25 per month flat rate for water usage.
Deputy Mayor Jim Alyea tells Quinte News, it was an easy decision for councillors to make.
This will be the fifth Home Build for Health Care project benefitting the TMHF, with last year’s home netting the foundation about $285,000.
