Six Hastings County municipalities will be making improvements to their drinking water systems over the next four years.
The province has handed down a total of 239-thousand dollars for the program. Bancroft, Centre Hastings, Deseronto, Marmora and Lake, Stirling-Rawdon, and Tweed will share the money…each getting about 40-thousand dollars a year, over the next four years. The money can be be used for such things as upgrading faulty water mains, or makking the systems more energy efficient.
