The Trenton Golden Hawks handed the Toronto Patriots their first loss in 12 games last night with a 7-4 win on home ice.
It was a back and fourth game until late in the third period when the Hawks scored three unanswered goals to earn the victory.
Trenton scored seven times from seven different players including, D’Artagnan Joly, Dalton Bancroft, Cameron Gaylor, Kyle Robinson, Griffen Fox, Ryan Bigler and Jared Gerger.
Anand Oberoi was solid in net making 28 saves on 32 shots.
Next up for the Hawks is the Milton Menace on Sunday in Milton at 4:30 p.m.
The Wellington Dukes also got the job done last night in Lindsay against the Muskies.
Jake Gagnon picked up a goal and two assists while Ben Evans scored twice including the game winning goal.
Matt Dunsmoor turned in 18 saves on 19 shots for the win.
The Dukes are back in action tonight in Brampton at 7:30 p.m.
The Golden Hawks and Dukes are tied for the east division lead with 42 points apiece.
