Quinte West firefighters were called to the 401 again today.
Station 4 responded to an accident in the westbound lanes which saw one vehicle end up in the median west of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
Quinte West OPP report one of the vehicles involved in the collision failed to remain at the scene.
The vehicle was later located in Northumberland County and police say an investigation is ongoing.
Fire Chief John Whalen says one person was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
