Members of the public will have a chance to give opinions on the fate of two major buildings in downtown Belleville.
Tuesday night at city council’s meeting, Mayor Mitch Panciuk announced that, at an upcoming public meeting on November 26, the city will outline five different development proposals for Memorial Arena and the Belleville Legion facilities.
Panciuk indicated the city wants every citizen to see what is being proposed.
Each company will have 20 minutes to present the bid, and audio will be put on the city’s website.
Then, at the December 9 council meeting, councillors will hear from residents on the issue.
Council will announce the successful applicant on January 13.
